Chasins, Abram (b NY, 1903; d NY, 1987). Amer. pianist and composer. On staff Curtis Inst. 1926–35. Mus. dir. of NY radio station (WQXR) 1947–65. Author of several books. Comps. incl. 2 pf. concs., Parade (1931), Rush Hour in Hong Kong (pf.), etc.
