Blagrove, Henry Gamble
Blagrove, Henry Gamble, English violinist; b. Nottingham, Oct. 20, 1811; d. London, Dec. 15, 1872. He was extremely precocious in his development, and at the age of 12 was admitted to the Royal Academy of Music in London at its opening in 1823. From 1832 to 1834 he was in Germany and took lessons with Spohr in Kassel. He is credited with having established the first regular series of chamber music concerts in London in 1835.
