Bjerre, Jens

Bjerre, Jens, Danish organist and composer; b. Àrhus, Oct. 13, 1903; d. Copenhagen, Jan. 3, 1986. He studied piano, organ, and theory at the Copenhagen Cons. (1919–23), and piano with Levy in Paris. He was organist at Copenhagen’s St. Stefanskirke (1933–55) and Garnisonskirke (1955–72).
