Ayo, Félix
Ayo, Félix, Spanish-born Italian violinist; b. Sestao, July 1, 1933. He studied at the Bilbao Cons., in Paris, and in Rome. After settling in Italy, he became a naturalized Italian citizen. In 1952 he became a founding member of the ensemble I Musici, with which he served as violinist and director until 1967. He toured extensively with it in Europe and the U.S. In 1968 he founded the Quartetto Beethoven, and subsequently toured widely with it.
