Appenzeller, Benedictus
Appenzeller, Benedictus (b Oudenaarde, c.1480–8; d after 1558). Flemish composer. Wrote a 4-part Nenia in memory of Josquin Desprès. Choirmaster to Netherlands regent (Mary of Hungary) 1537–after 1551. Composed nearly 50 chansons.
