Andreozzi, Gaetano

Andreozzi, Gaetano, Italian composer; b. Aversa, May 22, 1755; d. Paris, Dec. 21?, 1826. He was a pupil of Fenaroli and P. A. Gallo at the Cons, di S. Maria di Loreto in Naples. He also studied with Jomelli, and hence was nicknamed Jommelino. He pursued a successful career as a theater composer, producing some 45 operas.
