Becoming Colette ★★ 1992 (R)

Tedious flashbacking bio of French writer Colette, from her innocent days in the country to her (bad) marriage to writer/ publisher Willy and on and on to her own growing career as a writer. A postscript notes that Colette wrote “Gigi” and was the first woman to receive the French Legion of Honor. 97m/C VHS . Mathilda May, Klaus Maria Brandauer, Virginia Madsen, Paul Rhys, JeanPierre Aumont, John van Dreelen, Lucienne Hamon; D: Danny Huston; W: Ruth Graham; M: John Scott.
