American bowler. Born in Hillsboro, Illinois, on May 19, 1961.
Named Rookie of the Year (1980); led the tour in match play winning percentage, average, and competition points (1983).
In her first years of competition bowling, Lisa Rathgeber showed significant potential but was often runner-up. Then she was named Rookie of the Year in 1980. Three years later, in 1983, Rathgeber went from promise to first place. On her 22nd birthday, she won the Robby's Midwest Classic, her initial title. The following week, she won the Greater Milwaukee Open, becoming the first bowler in five years to take back-to-back titles. At the end of the season, she led the tour in match play with a .6351 winning percentage, points averaged per game with 208.50, and 9,070 competition points. That year, she was named Woman Bowler of the Year by the Bowling Writers Association of America and the Lind Shoe Player of the Year. Rathgeber won the Roto Grip Classic in 1984.
