Born on December 14, 1787, in Monza; died on April 7, 1816, in Verona; daughter of Archduke Ferdinand (1754–1806, son of Maria Theresa of Austria [1717–1780]) and Maria Beatrice of Modena (1750–1829); became third wife of Franz or Francis II, Holy Roman emperor (r. 1792–1806), also known as Francis I, emperor of Austria (r. 1804–1835), on January 6, 1808.
