Constance of Portugal (1290–1313)

Queen of Castile and Leon. Name variations: Constance Henriques, Enriques or Enriquez. Born on January 3, 1290; died on November 17, 1313, in Sahagun; interred at Valladolid; daughter of Diniz also spelled Dinis or Denis (1261–1325), king of Portugal (r. 1279–1325), and Elizabeth of Portugal (1271–1336); married Ferdinand IV (1285–1312), king of Castile and Leon (r. 1295–1321), in 1301 or 1302; children: Alphonso XI, king of Castile and Leon (r. 1312–1350); Eleanor of Castile (1307–1359); Constanza (c. 1309–c. 1311).
