English recusant who, upon death of husband and child, became canoness at St. Monica's convent in Louvain; writing, which shows influence of St. Augustine and of medieval Flemish mystics, includes Tixall Poetry (1813) and Tixall Letters (1815), both edited by Arthur Clifford.
