Summers, Merna (1933–)

Canadian short-story writer. Born 1933 in Alberta, Canada.

Worked as journalist and reporter; served as writer-in-residence at several institutions and on faculty at Banff Center Writing Program; writings include The Skating Party (1974), Calling Home (1982), and North of the Battle (1988). Received Marian Engel Award and Writers' Guild of Alberta award for best book of short fiction.
