Shane, Mary Driscoll (c. 1949–)

American sports radio broadcaster. Born Mary Driscoll c. 1949; graduate of University of Wisconsin—Madison.

Taught high-school history; served as Milwaukee representative of Women's Political Caucus at Democratic National Convention (1972); began to specialize in sports for WMAQ radio (all-news NBC affiliate), Chicago, IL (1975); assigned to Chicago White Sox games as 1st woman to perform play-by-play broadcasts of baseball games (1976).
