Ruuska, Sylvia (1942–)
American swimmer. Born July 1942, in Berkeley, CA; sister of swimmer Pat Ruuska.
Won a bronze medal in the 400-meter freestyle and a silver medal in the 4 × 100-meter freestyle relay at the Melbourne Olympics (1956); won 20 national championships. Inducted into International Swimming Hall of Fame (1976).
