Renzi, Anna (c. 1620–1660)

Italian mezzo-soprano. Born c. 1620 in Rome, Italy; died 1660.

Began singing in teens and trained under Filiberto Laurenzi with whom she remained associated until 1644; moved to Venice and became well known for important roles in operas by Sacrati, Monteverdi, and others.
