Soviet track-and-field athlete. Born Tamara Natanovna Press, May 10, 1937, in Kharkov, Ukraine; older sister of Irina Press.

At Rome Olympics, won a silver medal for the discus throw and a gold medal for the shot put (1960); at Tokyo Olympics, won gold medals for the discus throw and the shot put (1964); broke 12 World records for shot and discus (1959–65); won 3 European titles; retired (1965) and worked for All-Union Council of Trade Unions.
