American actress and singer. Born Doretta Marano, Jan 27, 1927, in New York, NY; died Feb 28, 1968, in London, England; cousin of Vic Damone (singer); m. 3rd husband Albert E. Hardman; children: (3rd. m.) daughter.
Debuted on stage in The Red Mill (1946); played Marsinah in musical version of Kismet (1953); appeared in only one film, Because You're Mine, opposite Mario Lanza.
