Dutch swimmer. Born Cornelia Kint in Holland, Netherlands; died July 10, 2002 in Nambucca Heads, Australia.

Set world records for backstroke in 100 meters (1:10.9 on Sept 22, 1939, which stood for 21 years), 100 yards, 200 meters (stood for 11 years), and 150 yards (stood for 11 years); unfortunately, could not test her dominance in an Olympics event because of WWII; moved to Australia (1960). Inducted into International Swimming Hall of Fame (1971).
