Fleming, Peggy (1948–)
American figure skater. Born July 27, 1948, in San Jose, California; m. Gregory Jenkins (dermatologist), 1970.
By age 16, had won the 1st of 5 successive US figure skating championships; captured and held the World title for 3 years running (1966–68); won a gold medal at Grenoble Olympics (1968), the 1st American to do so; began competing professionally; starred in several tv specials and major ice shows and continued to serve as a network sports commentator.
