Fikotová, Olga (1932–)

Czech-American track-and-field athlete. Name variations: Olga Fikotova; Olga Connolly. Born Olga Fikotová in Prague, Czechoslovakia, Nov 13, 1932; entered School of Medicine at Prague's Charles University; m. Harold Connolly (American gold medalist in 16-pound hammer throw), 1957 (div. c. 1972).

Won a gold medal in discus at Melbourne Olympics (1956); married, became US citizen, and competed for US (1957); qualified for 4 consecutive Olympic Games (beginning 1960); was flag bearer for the US team at Munich Olympics (1972).
