American actress. Born c. 1882 in San Francisco, California; died June 6, 1960, in New York, NY; m. Alon Bement (artist).
Made stage debut opposite H.B. Warner in The Ghost Breaker (1913); created the role of the grandmother in The Children's Hour (1934), which she reprised in the revival (1952); other plays include Jenny, We the People, Ring around Elizabeth, Guest in the House and Pygmalion.
