Cox, Hazel (b. 1887)
American theatrical dancer. Born 1887 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; sister of Ray Cox (dancer and comedienne).
Made professional debut on stage in Chicago (c. 1906); moved to NY where she was a specialty dancer in The Skylark (1910), The Night Birds (1912), The Love Wager (1912), Passing Show of 1913 and Around the Map (1916), among others; performed exhibition ballroom act with Andrew Brannigan in vaudeville (c. 1915).
