Canadian novelist and short-story writer. Name variations: Grace Campbell. Born Grace MacLennan Grant in 1895 in Williamstown, Ontario, Canada, of Highland and Loyalist ancestry; died May 31, 1963; graduate of Queen's University, 1915, with a gold medal in English Literature; m. Rev. Harvey Campbell, 1919 (died 1976); children: 3 sons.

Lived in Saskatchewan, Ontario, Northern Quebec, Montreal and Regina; writings, which often depict lives of Scots Highland settlers in Glengarry, Canada, include Thorn-Apple Tree (1942), The Higher Hill (1944), Fresh Wind Blowing (1947) and Torbeg (1953).
