Burns, Louise (1949–)
American modern dancer. Born June 14, 1949, in Florida.
Trained with modern dancers Betty Jones, Viola Farber, and Merce Cunningham, among others; joined the Cunningham company (1970) and appeared in a series of repertory works: Signals, Squaregame, Summerspace, Exchange, Fractions, Torse and Travelogue; appeared in "dance for camera" Cunningham works, including Fractions I; also danced in numerous concert recitals, including those by Mel Wong.
