Bevilacqua, Alma (1910–1988)

Italian novelist. Name variations: (pseudonym) Giovanna Zangrandi. Born 1910 in Galliera, Bologna, Italy; died 1988.

Worked as science teacher; was active in Resistance during WWII; wrote about countryside and of partisans after war in such works as Leggende delle Dolomiti (1950), I Brusaz (1954), Il campo rosso (1959), I giorni veri, 1943–45 (1963), Anni con Attila (1966), and Il diario di Chiara (1972).
