American vaudevillian and actress. Born Mar 25, 1880, in Gainesville, Georgia; died June 20, 1964, in Whitestone, Queens, NY.
Was a headliner in vaudeville; appeared in the original production of The Bat, as well as a revival (1937); other credits include The Show-Off, Lovely Lady, Mrs. McThing (with Helen Hayes), and Desire under the Elms; active with the American Theatre Wing.
