Anderson-Ivantzova, Elizabeth (c. 1893–1973)

Russian ballet dancer. Born c. 1893, in Moscow, Russia; died Nov 10, 1973, in New York, NY.

Studied at Moscow school of Imperial Ballet; danced with Bolshoi Ballet (1910s), most notably as Aurora in Sleeping Beauty; joined Chauve-Souris tour and immigrated to NY (1924), remaining there until death; taught dance classes at her own studio, which was considered one of most disciplined within the dance world.
