English princess. Fl. around 1060; buried in Bayeux, Normandy, France; dau. of William I the Conqueror (c. 1027–1087), duke of Normandy (r. 1035–1087), king of England (r. 1066–1087), and Matilda of Flanders (c. 1031–1083); betrothed to Harald or Harold II Godwineson (c. 1022–1066), king of the English (r. 1066); betrothed to Alphonso VI, king of Castile and Leon.
