New Zealand draper. Name variations: Agnes Broomfield. Born Agnes Broomfield, c. 1841 or 1842, in Edinburgh, Scotland; died Jan 28, 1903, at Hokitika, New Zealand; dau. of Joseph Broomfield and Margaret (Fairbairn) Broomfield; m. Robert Addison (carpenter), 1874 (died 1885); children: 4 daughters.

Immigrated with husband to New Zealand (1875); established drapery shop, becoming one of Hokitika's leading businesswomen in the 1890s.
