American actress. Name variations: Burnu Acquanetta; Burnu Davenport. Born Mildred Davenport (some sources erroneously cite Burnu Acquanetta), July 17, 1921, of Arapaho descent in Cheyenne, Wyoming; died of Alzheimer's disease, Aug 16, 2004, in Ahwataukee, Arizona; sister of Horace Davenport (Pennsylvania judge); m. Jack Ross (owner of a car dealership, 1950s) (div. 1980s); children: Jack, Lance, Tom and Rex Ross.

B-movie actress, best known for her role in Tarzan and the Leopard Woman (1946), began career as a model; also appeared in Captive Wild Woman and The Sword of Monte Cristo; founded a theater in Scottsdale.
