Venturia (order Dothideales) A genus of fungi that occur as parasites and pathogens of higher plants. The ascospores are typically greenish-yellow, elongated and septate, and are formed in pseudoperithecia which are immersed in the substrate. V. inaequalis is the cause of apple scab.
