univariant assemblage
univariant assemblage An equilibrium mineral assemblage which, in terms of the phase rule, has one degree of freedom; i.e. if equilibrium is to be maintained, a change of any one variable (e.g. pressure) dictates the changes to the values of all the other external variables (temperature and P(H2O)).
