Gonorynchidae
Gonorynchidae (sandfish; superorder Ostariophysi, order Gonorynchiformes) A family of marine fish that have an almost pencil-shaped, round body, a single, backward-placed dorsal fin opposite the ventral fins, and the anal fin even closer to the tail fin. The small mouth is somewhat below the pointed snout. There are one or two species, found in the Indo-Pacific region.
