Dipterocarpus
Dipterocarpus (family Dipterocarpaceae) A genus of lofty, resinous trees which yield heavy, valuable timber (keruing and apitong). They have large amplexicaul stipules. The leaves are usually plicate between the main nerves. The wood of some is tapped for gurjun or keruing oil. There are 69 species, occurring from Sri Lanka to western Malesia.
