Gauss
Gauss A normal polarity chron in the late Pliocene, preceded by the Gilbert and followed by the Matuyama reversed chrons, and radiometrically dated at 3.58–2.60 Ma ( Harland et al., 1982). The Gauss contains at least two reversed polarity subchrons: Mammoth and Kaena.
