MOLNÁR, ÁKOS

MOLNÁR, ÁKOS (1895–1945), Hungarian author. An outstanding storyteller, Molnár wrote many books including A császár dajkája ("The Emperor's Nurse," 1935) and Az égő csipkebokor ("The Burning Bush," 1940). He also wrote A hitehagyott ("The Apostate," 1937), the biography of Imre *Szerencses (Fortunatus), a baptized court Jew. Molnar was murdered by the Nazis.
