KOSSOFF, LEON
KOSSOFF, LEON (1926– ), English painter. Born in London, Kossoff studied art under David Bomberg. Kossoff taught at the Royal College of Art, London, and St. Martin's School of Art. His portraits are treated with a deeply sympathetic point of view. His style is clearly expressionistic and emotional. His work has attracted much interest and he has been the subject of several studies.
