KASHANI, ELIEZER

KASHANI, ELIEZER (1923–1947), Jew executed by the British in Palestine. Kashani was born in Peta? Tikvah to a poor family with many children. In his youth he was a member of the Maccabi sports organization in which he distinguished himself. Arrested on suspicion of belonging to the underground movement, he was exiled to Eritrea, and in the internment camp joined i?l. On his release and return to Ere? Israel, he became active in the movement, was arrested together with Drezner and Alka?i, sentenced to death, and hanged with them.
