Gannei Yehudah
GANNEI YEHUDAH
GANNEI YEHUDAH (Heb. גַּנֵּי יְהוּדָה; "Gardens of Judea"), moshav with municipal council status in the Judean coastal plain of Israel near Petaḥ Tikvah, affiliated with Ha-Iḥud ha-Ḥakla'i, founded in 1950. The founding settlers were mainly immigrants from South Africa and engaged principally in citriculture. In 1968 Gannei Yehudah had 580 inhabitants, rising to 731 in 2002. In 2004 it was united with the nearby municipal council of Savyon.
