Nāgasena. A Buddhist sage who lived probably in the present-day Pañjāb, in the early 2nd cent. BCE. He appears in a 1st-cent. CE Pāli text, Milinda-pañha. In a Sarvāstivādin version of the same text, he is given the name Dhītika.
