Hémādrī

Hémādrī. A learned scholar and a minister of the Yādava kings of Deogirī near Auraṇgābād, 1260–71. He possessed great powers of organization and a wide outlook directed towards the many-sided improvement of the people. He employed many scholars to prepare a compendium of religious observances, entitled Chāturvarga-chintāmaṇī. He also wrote the history of the Yādava rulers, entitled Yādava-Prashastī. He was put to death by Rāmachandra Yādava about 1272 CE.
