Great Learning
Great Learning. The Ta Hsüeh, one of the group of Four Books in the Confucian Classics. A small work extracted from the collection called Records of Rituals (Li Chi). It was singled out for special attention by neo-Confucian philosophers of the Sung dynasty (960–1279), who found it a perfect expression of their own programme of self-cultivation to attain saintliness and save the world.
