Huntingdon and Godmanchester
Huntingdon and Godmanchester, town (1991 pop. 15,451), Cambridgeshire, E central England, traversed by the Ouse River. Seat of the Huntingdon dist., the town has light industries and an agricultural market. Oliver Cromwell was born in Huntingdon; both he and Samuel Pepys went to school there. Godmanchester, across from the Ouse, contains several farmhouses from the 16th and 17th cent.
