Banffshire
Banffshire or Banff, former county, NE Scotland. Under the Local Government Act of 1973, Banffshire became (1975) part of the new Grampian region. In the local government reorganization of 1996, Grampian was dissolved and the former territory of Banffshire was divided between the council areas of Moray and Aberdeenshire.
