Benedictus.
1. In the RC Mass, the Benedictus qui venit, i.e. simply the words ‘Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord’, which complete the Sanctus section of the Mass.

2. The song of Zacharias (Luke I. 68 et seq.). ‘Blessed be the Lord God of Israel’, which is sung daily at Lauds in RC churches and in the Eng. Prayer Book occurs in the Order for Morning Prayer.
