Nuclear America
Nuclear America, the term applied to the early high-culture areas of the Western Hemisphere that arose before the Spanish Conquest. It incorporates Mesoamerica, a culture area that includes most of Mexico, all of Belize and Guatemala, and portions of Central America, as well as the areas of South America in which high cultures first appeared.
The early cultures to which it refers include those of the Olmec, Maya, Teotihuacán, Toltec, and Aztec in Mesoamerica, and the Inca, Chimu, and Chavín of the Andean region of South America. In both areas the cultures flourished within the span 1250 bce–ce 1500.
