Ngeh

The Ngeh (Nghe) are a group of about 4,000 (1981) in the Muong Phine-Bung Sai area of southern Laos. They speak a language of the Mon-Khmer Group. The traditional economy is based on the cultivation of wet rice. Houses are arranged in a circle, and the village is enclosed. Some longhouses are built on pilings.
