Foster, Sir Norman
Foster, Sir Norman (1935– ) English architect. He formed Team 4, with his wife Wendy and Sue and Richard Rogers. Foster is noted for his use of advanced engineering technology. His huge glass and steel exoskeletons seem to exemplify modernist ideals of efficiency. Foster's works include the HSBC building, Hong Kong, (1986), Stansted Airport terminal, Essex (1991), and the German Reichstag, Berlin (1999).
