Born July 19, 1965, in Cleveland Heights, OH; father, a lawyer and former vaudeville performer; mother, a writer; married Peter Ackerman (an actor); children: Stanley Keats Ackerman. Education: Brown University, B.A., theatre, 1987; also attended University of California, San Diego, 1990; studied acting at the Cleveland Playhouse, London Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, the London Academy of Music and Drama, and Second City, Chicago.
