Description: Independent, comprehensive, coed, affiliated with Evangelical Lutheran Church. Awards bachelor's and master's degrees. Founded 1845. Community Environment: Springfield is located 25 miles northeast of Dayton with all forms of commercial transportation available. Community facilities include houses of worship of all denominations, two hospitals, libraries, art and historical museums, Springfield Performing Arts Center, a symphony orchestra, and two theatre groups. Recreational activities include tennis and golf. Job opportunities are available.
